Ooo ooo, Kushu Kushu.

My Habu kit finally arrived. I'd ordered it months ago from a trunk show at a lovely yarn shop across town.

These strings will turn into the Kushu Kushu scarf, if all goes according to plan.

A-20-16 lavender color (it's a warmer, dustier purple than it appears here). Silk. Well, silk with a stainless steel core. This will be the ends of the scarf.

A177-29 coffee color. Super fine merino wool. This, together with the lavender, will be the middle section of the scarf.

There are other things at the top of the to-be-made queue, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm also a little nervous about knitting with steel. So it remains to be seen when exactly this will get going.

In the meantime, I like the idea of this scarf having its own cheer - "Ooo! Ooo! Kushu Kushu! Ooo ooo! Kushu Kushu!" Who's with me on that?

Hey Stella - I got to pick my own colors because of the trunk show situation (I'm not sure if that was the case for everyone, or if it was because all the kits were sold out by the time we got there.). I'm hoping the combo works out.

I just finished one and love it! You can pick out your own colors at Knit Purl online store, too.

Don't be afraid to knit with steel! I've done it twice, once with this and once with Art Fibers stainless steel cotton, had no problems, and loved the outcome each time.

Beautiful color combo. I think this one will be a winner. I'm going to try to stop at Purl next week when I'm in NY. Dare I try another???

Beautiful colour combination - I guarantee you'll enjoy every moment.
Caution: watch out for the steel as it can slice straight through fingers - it happened to me. Slight hitch.

Ok. I'll cheer with you.

And I think these colors will be beautiful together. As with the Chevron scarf, I will be watching and waiting to see if I need one too. You are my knitting pattern litmus test of late. ;)

I think it looks like a beautiful combination. I have a kit I got at a Habu trunk show up here that I am still trying to build up enough courage to tackle sooner rather than later.
