I need more yarn

...like I need a hole in the head. But these Socks That Rock yarns will not leave me alone. Everywhere I turn, someone is using this yarn to make something delightful.

Cara used it for her mini Monkey socks in Watermelon Tourmaline. Very cute little socks, and I've had my eye on that Watermelon color for a while.

Tiennie used it for her Chevron scarf in Monsoon and Footzey Foo. This is, hands down, one of the most beautiful color combinations I've ever seen. Ever.

A-ha!! In a move that I can only make sense of by thinking the yarn gods are looking after me, Monsoon is only available to the Rockin' Sock Club members. As I am not a member, I shall not be purchasing any yarn today. So there.

I'll bet those grapes were really sour anyway.

Of course, there is always the possibility that you could contact a Rockin' Sock Club member and ask her to buy a skein for you. Knitters are very nice people. I am sure you could work out a way to slip the cash to a member...or you could just wallow in your STR-less misery and do without.

I have been dreaming of buying some STR myself but I haven't done it yet. There is a craving for it building up in my needy little knitting heart. (I came t-h-i-s-c-l-o-s-e to joining the RSC in December...) I am also starting to think I need a Chevron scarf. Tiennie's combination really is lovely.

You frequently seem to lead me down mischievous paths. I'm glad you don't live too close to me. You would probably convince me to join a cult or something. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Great idea Kristy! Dr B, knitters ARE wonderful people and I'm sure you won't have any problems acquiring that yarn. So, no more sour grapes for you - just pure sweetness from here on in! x

Why is yarn so addictive? I have so much... so much that I don't have a place to put it. Yet, I want more. Why? It's troubling. At least I'm in good company.

Every time I buy yarn, I swear that's gonna be it for a while. Until the next time. I've asked those close to me to stop me when I reach for more yarn. This only ended up in my disowning certain family members.

So I go with the flow.... buy what I want and stopped worrying about it. Sort of.

Oh my goodness! Thank you for your nice comment but no, no! Yours is hands down the prettiest Chevron.

You see there, Tiennie obviously has a soft spot for you. She could surely be persuaded to smuggle you a skein of Monsoon. ;)
